La Veta School District is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students thanks to the Healthy School Meals for All program!
Even though meals will be provided for free, it's important for families to continue sharing household income information in order for our schools to receive full access to federal funding. The free and reduced lunch form is included in the district's registration packet for new students and is part of the Annual Family Update for returning students. We appreciate your help as we gather this important community information, which often helps us pursue needed grants, gifts and donations.
Please keep in mind that it is still a good idea to make a deposit on your child's food service account, as we must still charge for seconds, including milk. All extras are charged at $ .50 each. We are proud to have a food service department that delivers delicious, nutritious, cost effective meals each and every day!
