The La Veta Re-2 School District in Huerfano County provides services to an average of 220 students each year. Even with small numbers, multiple students place in state competitions for 1A athletics, Knowledge Bowl, Science Fair, and Future Farmers of America. Our students contribute regularly to a list of champions who reflect our focus on student achievement.

Our dedicated staff demonstrate continuing improvement in academic scores that achieved state recognition recently as a district Accredited with Distinction. In line with our district mission we are proud to participate in the Student-Centered Achievement Program. Together with other districts we are pioneering standards and measures that promote rigorous accountability for education in rural Colorado.
